babylindy's birth story

My little princess has arrived.  Emma Kay was born on Feb 22, @ 12:20 p.m.  She weighed 6 pounds 5 ounces and is 18 inches long. 

The story:  Friday morning I woke up to tell hubby goodbye and felt like I was leaking.  I got up and more fluid came out.  Called doc and he said my water had probably broke and to come in.  I arrived at the hospital at around 6:45 a.m. The doc checked and I was 2 cent dilated but he didn't think he was feeling a head down there.  He ordered an ultra sound and sure enough the little stinker was frank breech.  They said I would have to have a c-section.  I started to cry because I just always thought she would come the "normal" way and I also didn't know what all to expect (pain, longer recovery, etc)  They scheduled the c-section for 12:00 p.m.  and in the meantime had to give me shots to stop labor.  I was starting to feel achy labor pains and they weren't fun.  The surgery went well and it wasn't as bad as I thought... especially when I can look at my beautiful little girl.  I was able to come home yesterday.  I am still in a little pain and slow to get around.  My hubby is AWESOME!! He was up with me and her all night.  I am breastfeeding and it is definitely demanding but worth it.
