Nicole's (PreggersinPitt) birth story

My husband and I were laying in bed actually talking about the probability of a woman's water breaking and I said that I hoped mine didnt unless I was at home....well an hour later....gush!! More gush!! Wont stop gushing!! Called the doc and headed to the hospital. I was not in labor at this point but he said they would probably induce me. We got to the hospital around 10 and they kept me in triage until around 11:30 at 2 cm. They decided to get the party started with the pitocin and at 3pm I was 4cm and having SUPER bad contractions....I opted for the epi (was a GOD send) and around 7pm I was 6cm and the pains were returning in my vaginal/rectal area. They called anesthesia without my doc being there and she pumped me full of meds that made my legs go numb. Well my doc came back and checked me and said...well your 10cm and ready to push! Well I  witht he numb legs. My doc was pissed the lady gave me the meds without him checking first.....but who would have known I would go from 6-10cm in 15 minutes flat!! He said her head was ready to go and as soon as I could move my legs I could start pushing.....45 minutes later I was pushing and she came flying into the world in 15 minutes! It was the most amazing thing in the world and I cant believe how lucky I was to have such an easy l&d!! The meds had completely worn off when I was pushing and it wasnt that bad! She was only 6 pounds 15 punces, so she was little. I did tear a little and am in a little bit of pain, but I dont need any pain meds....so not too bad. Eva has taken to breast feeding like a champ!
